Short description: The road to recovery from the pandemic has predominantly been examined through the lens of vaccines and medicines. This has resulted in overarching importance on physical well-being, often at the cost of other needs. With the pandemic easing now, most people assume that the worst is over. However, my experience as a professor has helped me see and understand the deleterious effects of the pandemic on the mental, emotional, intellectual and social well-being of adolescent students over the last two years. This presentation delves into the far-reaching impact of the pandemic on student well-being. It further suggests measures that can be taken by students and their stakeholders to improve the mental, emotional, intellectual and social well-being of students.
